
The exhibition, ‘Resonant Histories: India and the Arab World’, encourages a deeper understanding of the interconnected histories between the two regions. It brings together for the first time, over seventy artists of the 20th century, from India and countries of the Arab world, including Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates. Drawn from the collections of the Barjeel Art Foundation and the Jehangir Nicholson Art Foundation, the exhibition reflects the diversity and complexity of modern art, with a background of shared anti-colonial struggles, the Non-Aligned Movement and post-independence aspirations.
