Chatterjee & Lal was formed in Mumbai in 2003 with the specific aim of providing a platform for artists emerging onto the scene. The gallery has subsequently broadened its remit to exhibit historical material in order to contextualize, inform and sometimes create dissonance with the work of the gallery artists.
